Whipped salt cod (mantecato)

In pregnancy: Caution While breastfeeding: Safe

Rare, but serious if it happens

Why

Traditionally made with cooked salt cod and oil: safe in that case. Some 'mantecato cream' versions contain raw milk: ask or read label.

It changes after the birth

You can eat this again while breastfeeding: the pregnancy-specific risks (listeria, toxoplasmosis, salmonella) no longer apply after birth. Keep normal food hygiene.
